The New York Jets face an NFC South foe for the only time this season when the Atlanta Falcons visit MetLife Stadium on December 3.

The slumping Jets (4-7) have lost four games in a row while the Falcons (5-6) will attempt to even their overall record and retain their first-place standing. The Week 13 game will kick off at 1:00 pm ET in what's expected to be a rainy East Rutherford.

FOX will carry the game live with a Jets' alumnus working in the broadcast booth. Kenny Albert serves as the play-by-play announcer with Jets' 2004 first-round draft pick Jonathan Vilma handling analyst duties. Shannon Spake will patrol the sideline. Locally, WEPN 98.7 FM will carry the game on radio.

Vilma, a former No. 12 overall selection, joined the FOX sports announcing team in 2020. He's the second former Jet to provide color commentary for one of his old team's games this season. Quarterback Mark Sanchez, who also works for FOX, was on the call for New York's Week 6 home win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 41-year-old Vilma spent his first four NFL seasons as a Jet, winning the 2004 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award and earning a 2005 Pro Bowl selection. He was teammates with current Jets' punter Thomas Morstead as members of the 2009 New Orleans Saints, the Super Bowl XLIV champions.

The Jets are giving Tim Boyle a second consecutive start at quarterback in Week 13. The Green & White offense has totaled 10 touchdowns through 11 games. The team's scoring average has dropped to 14.8 points per game, third-lowest in the NFL.

"It is a combination of a lot of things. We are all pressing, and it starts with me, and I have to stop that," said Jets' offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett on the unit's subpar results thus far.

The Falcons feature the league's fourth-ranked rushing offense, averaging 139.3 yards per game. Despite their success on the ground, Atlanta manages only 19.4 points per contest.

"They’re in sync up front with how they operate," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh on Friday. "The three backs that they have, they are all unique in their style."
