Slot CB Added to Jets' Injury Report, Three Offensive Starters Upgraded to Full Participation
New York Jets' head coach Robert Saleh delivered positive injury news ahead of Saturday's practice in Florham Park.
All players are expected to fully participate with a trio of offensive starters having been upgraded from yesterday's status. Running back Breece Hall (knee) and left tackle Duane Brown (shoulder) were limited participants during Friday's session while right tackle Mekhi Becton, who had been limited due to his right knee, missed practice with an illness.
Saleh reported that all three men are good to go with the Monday Night Football season opener only two days away.
Gang Green's third-year head coach also mentioned an addition to the injury report although he cautioned that it's not serious in nature. Starting slot cornerback Michael Carter II is expected to practice in full on Saturday despite a nicked-up elbow.
"It's injury reporting semantics. He'll be fine," said Saleh. "It's an elbow. He got bumped in the elbow."
Carter was a significant contributor to the NFL's fourth-ranked defense last year. Playing 64 percent of the snaps, the Duke product allowed only one touchdown pass and limited opposing receivers to 6.1 yards per target.
Official injury reports will be filed with the NFL office by 4:00 pm ET today.
