The New York Jets made a new addition to their injury report on the defensive side of the ball Thursday.

While starting slot cornerback Michael Carter II was upgraded to a full participant, starting linebacker Quincy Williams popped up with a knee injury. Williams participated in practice on a limited basis.

The 27-year-old Williams, who signed a new three-year contract this past March, has started all 11 games thus far this season. He ranks second on the team, behind C.J. Mosley, in total tackles (96).

Carter II, who has missed the past two games due to a hamstring issue, was one of three Jets' defenders who improved their statuses from limited to full on Thursday.

Rookie edge rusher Will McDonald (shoulder) and cornerback Justin Hardee (hamstring) both took 100 percent of their normal repetitions. McDonald was active for the Black Friday Game against Miami while Hardee has been on Injured Reserve since October 14. The Jets opened Hardee's 21-day activation window on Wednesday along with Wes Schweitzer and Aaron Rodgers

On the offensive side, left tackle Mekhi Becton (knee/ankle) increased his level of participation to full on Thursday while running back Breece Hall (hamstring) remained limited for the second day in a row.

Hall spoke to reporters in the locker-room after practice and did not sound as if he plans on missing Sunday's non-conference matchup against the Atlanta Falcons at MetLife Stadium. The second-year running back has scored four of the Jets' 10 offensive touchdowns this season.

Fifth-round rookie running back Israel Abanikanda missed his second straight practice due to an illness.

Jets' head coach Robert Saleh is scheduled to provide another update prior to Friday's practice in Florham Park.
