Madden 24 Rates Jahmyr Gibbs as Third-Fastest Running Back in NFL

Madden 24 ratings released for offensive skill players.
In this story:

Detroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs' speed is no secret.

Though the organization's decision to draft him 12th overall came as a surprise, he can be a high-impact player right away. His speed and athleticism brings an extra element to offensive coordinator Ben Johnson's scheme.

The Alabama product's tantalizing speed will be reflected in the upcoming release of EA Sports' 'Madden 24.' He's rated as a 77 overall, with a 94 speed attribute rating.

That mark is among the best in the game. Only two players, Miami's Devon Achane and Raheem Mostert, are higher-rated. Gibbs is tied for third with Seattle's Kenneth Walker III, Indianapolis' Jonathan Taylor and Minnesota's Kene Nwangwu.

The rookie is viewed more as an offensive weapon for Detroit's offense. He will get carries along with starter David Montgomery but will also contribute as a receiver and returner.

He also received a 92 agility rating and 72 catch rating from the game developers. Montgomery, meanwhile, is an 82 overall.

Running backs and offensive linemen learned their ratings Wednesday. Detroit has three offensive linemen rated above an 80 in center Frank Ragnow and tackles Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker.

Sewell received a 92 strength attribute, which is seventh amongst tackles.

At 88 overall, Ragnow is Detroit's highest-rated player to this point. Cornerbacks and tight ends will learn their ratings Thursday, while quarterbacks, linebackers, fullbacks and specialists will receive theirs Friday.
