Trendsetter: Rams DT Aaron Donald's Wife Gets Custom Super Bowl Ring
Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald finally earned his long-deserved Super Bowl ring last February, and recently, his wife Erica joined the fun as well.
According to TMZ, Erica Donald revealed earlier this week that she partnered with celebrity jeweler Moe Diamonds to make her own Super Bowl ring. The design is completely different from her husband's ring, but does feature his initials, No. 99 jersey number and the letters SBLVI, along with some signature L.A. palm trees.
The ring reportedly holds around three carats of diamonds and is valued at $17,000.
According to Moe Diamonds, the hope is that Erica Donald's ring can inspire other NFL wives and girlfriends to follow suit and get rings of their own.
"Thank you to @ericadonald99 for helping me design the first ever Super Bowl ring for Ladies," Moe Diamonds wrote on Instagram. "With many back-and-forth convos with ideas, we came up with the ideal design to represent the women who are true biggest fans of their husbands and boyfriends! Thank you @aarondonald99 for making this possible. Hopefully, this will become a trend for all the wives of the NFL... Erica, now it's up to you to model it to the other ladies!!"
Aaron and Erica Donald, who previously went by Erica Sherman, met while she was working in community marketing for the Rams. The two had a son in 2021, and Aaron Donald did not travel with the team this week in anticipation of their second child. Aaron Donald also has two children from a previous relationship.
For all Donald has accomplished throughout his NFL career, it only seems fitting that his wife is the first to get a Super Bowl ring of her own.
