Rams GM Les Snead 'Definitely' Keeping Odell Beckham Jr. on Radar

The last time Odell Beckham Jr. played an NFL game, he helped the Los Angeles Rams win the 2021 Super Bowl, scoring the first touchdown of the night. Do the Rams desire his playmaking once more?
In this story:

The Los Angeles Rams finished third in the NFC West at 5-12 and failed to make the NFL playoffs in 2022 without receiver Odell Beckham Jr. A sharp vicissitude from a championship run a season ago saw quarterback Matthew Stafford rely heavily on receiver Cooper Kupp for 813 of his 2087 passing yards in 10 games played.

With a tunnel-vision dynamic in the receiving corps, Rams general manager Les Snead has been vocal about the prospects of bringing Beckham Jr. back into the fold to reinvigorate the offense.

Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reported on Snead's outlook via Twitter earlier today:

Beckham Jr. last played in the Rams' 2021 Super Bowl win. He broke the game open with the first touchdown of the night. Shortly after, he tore his ACL, compromising his availability for much of the following season.

Despite his injury, he did not sign with a team in 2022 and has remained a noteworthy name on the free-agent market. Beckham Jr.'s name has been tied to a slew of teams, including the New York Jets, while the Rams clearly have interest in a potential reunion.

Beckham Jr. was last signed to a one-year, $1.25 million contract with Los Angeles after joining the team in Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season. In 14 total games played, he went for 537 yards and five touchdowns while maintaining a 12.2 yards per reception marker that doesn't fall far from his career average of 13.9.

He has made north of $81 million in his career and may be looking for a bigger payday than his last contract provided, though injury and regression may spoil his plans. All that is known of a surety is that when last seen, Beckham Jr. still had Wide Receiver 2 capabilities in the tank, especially when it mattered most.
