Fresh off a surprising playoff appearance, the Los Angeles Rams have a huge opportunity this offseason.

After going all in for most of the Sean McVay era, the Rams haven't been too active over the past few offseasons, but they have the resources to do so this offseason. With over $40 million in cap space and a good deal of draft capital, including the team's first first-round pick since 2016, L.A. has the opportunity to be bold this offseason.

Rams COO Kevin Demoff is well aware of what his team could do this offseason, putting him and the rest of the team's brass in position to "do what they do best."

“Which is, you know, dream big, you know, get crazy and have an offseason,” Demoff told reporters, per the Los Angeles Times. “And so we sit at the precipice of that.

“I have no idea how this offseason will turn out but I know we have the ability to do anything we want, and that’s a position we haven’t been in in a while.”

Even after a breakout year, the Rams still have plenty of room to grow. Cornerback and edge rusher stand out as major needs, but there are several other smaller ones as well. However, the Rams have proven themselves capable of finding talent in unexpected places, so filling those needs would be nothing new.

“Our group has always been great about kind of ignoring the flashing lights and kind of some of the sexier names and prospects to really go find who are really great picks for the Rams,” Demoff said, adding, “I think the one thing our group has proven is that they can find talent anywhere.”

After a down year in 2022, the Rams have a chance to now re-establish themselves as contenders in 2024, which is all they could ask for.

“Expectations are much higher this year,” Demoff told reporters Monday night before a fan event at the YouTube Theater. “They’re kind of where we’re accustomed to them being, and I think that’s something our group is excited about.”
