Rams General Manager Les Snead and Coach Sean McVay 'Believe in Being Aggressive'
The Los Angeles Rams had a bounce-back season in 2023 and made the playoffs. With the right moves, the team could improve and contend this season.
One of the biggest parts of the Rams making the playoffs again is them making solid picks in the upcoming NFL Draft.
The team has not made a first-round pick since 2016 when they selected Jared Goff, and general manager Les Snead is excited for that chance.
"The fun part is, ‘Oh wow, we’re not just trying to get to player 33, we actually could pick one at 19,’” Snead said during a video conference with reporters. "Sean and I, at the core, we like to attack — we believe in being aggressive. Hopefully, it’s not crazy. But I can say that Sean and I do have in our DNA an element of, you know, let’s call it, ‘We’re not going to be scared to try to go win a gold medal.'"
Mel Kiper Mock Draft: Rams Bolster Secondary
In 2022, the Rams went 5-12, the worst record by a defending Super Bowl Champion ever, and it made many question when the team would be back in the playoffs.
But this past year, young players had breakout seasons and were a big part of the team finishing 10-7 and making the Wild Card.
With Matthew Stafford having a bounce-back year, Cooper Kupp hopefully having one next season, and Puka Nacua continuing to improve, the Rams could be just a few pieces away from contending.
And if that is the case, then Snead and Sean McVay are not shy to go big or go home.
