Rams on PFF ‘Top 30 Over 30’ List: Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp Enough?

The Los Angeles Rams are well-represented on a new Pro Football Focus countdown.

A pair of Los Angeles Rams checked in on a new Pro Football Focus list ranking the top 30 players over 30 years old

As Aaron Donald enters his age-32 season, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner came in at No. 2, trailing only San Francisco 49ers' left tackle Trent Williams:

"The Rams star was still dominant when he was on the field, but it marked the first time since his rookie season that he recorded a sub-20% pass-rush win rate, and he ended the campaign with the lowest pressure rate of his career."

The seven-time All-Pro had 49 combined tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback hits and five sacks in 2022, but was limited to 11 games. Given that he's flirted with retirement the past two offseasons, it's fair to wonder if this will be the final season for the future Hall of Famer.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Cooper Kupp -- set to turn 30 in June -- checked in at No. 6:

Kupp has always been a productive wide receiver, but it wasn’t until Matthew Stafford arrived that he took it to another level. After earning a PFF receiving grade of 93.1 in 2021 and 88.1 in 2022, Kupp (when healthy) now has just one sub-60.0 graded game over the past two seasons.

A high-ankle sprain derailed Kupp's 2022 season, but he was very productive when he played. Across nine games, the former Super Bowl MVP caught 75 passes for 812 yards and six touchdowns.

Perhaps the most noteworthy part of this list from a Rams perspective, however, is that the aforementioned Stafford isn't on the list after an injury-riddled second season in Los Angeles. With Tom Brady's retirement, the only quarterbacks on the list are Aaron Rodgers (No. 8) and Kirk Cousins (No. 16).
