Aaron Donald Among Five Los Angeles Rams Named To Senior Bowl 75th Anniversary Team

Five players on the Senior Bowl's newly-released 75th Anniversary Team donned the Los Angeles Rams uniform during their NFL careers.

For three quarters of a century now, the Senior Bowl has been one of the most important parts of the pre-draft process, with some of the NFL's legends putting themselves on the map.

With the game reaching such an important milestone, the Senior Bowl released its 75th Anniversary Team on Tuesday. Notably, the Los Angeles Rams had some strong representation on the team with five players, tied for third-most with the New York Jets. The only teams with more representation were two of the Rams' division rivals, as the San Francisco 49ers had eight players while the Seattle Seahawks had seven.

The headliner among the five Rams was superstar defensive tackle Aaron Donald, as if it could be anyone else. The Pittsburgh product took part in the 2014 Senior Bowl, and just a few months later, the Rams made him the No. 13 pick in the draft. Almost a decade later, Donald has surpassed any expectations the Rams had for him and cemented himself as one of the best defensive players ever.

The other four Rams to make the cut are great players in their own right, of course, although none are still with the team. Two of those players, linebackers Bobby Wagner and Von Miller, are still in the league with the Seahawks and Buffalo Bills, respectively. Wagner, a Utah State product who played in the Senior Bowl in 2012, spent the 2022 season in L.A., while Miller, who played in the 2011 game out of Texas A&M, spent the latter half of the 2021 season in L.A. and was key to the Rams' Super Bowl run.

The other two Rams on the team include some legendary players in cornerback Aeneas Williams and receiver Torry Holt. Williams, who came out of Southern University in 1991, spent the bulk of his career with the Arizona Cardinals, but still had a productive run with the Rams between 2001 and 2004. Meanwhile, Holt, an NC State product in 1999, was an icon for the "Greatest Show On Turf" Rams in the late 90s and early 2000s, but is still not yet in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Will Former Rams WR Torry Holt Finally Earn Gold Jacket?

The team was determined by a public fan vote, a poll of every NFL general manager and input from the Senior Bowl selection committee.
