AFC North Power Rankings: Ravens 'Could Be Super Bowl Champions?'

Lamar Jackson's health is the million-dollar question for Baltimore. If he can stay healthy, the Ravens have a chance to be one of the best teams in a stacked AFC.

The AFC North has become one of the better divisions in football, and the Baltimore Ravens find themselves near the top of it.

Dawgs Pound Daily ranked the teams in the AFC North and had the Ravens at No. 2, touting them as a potential Super Bowl contender. Baltimore only trailed the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Pittsburgh Steelers were right behind Baltimore, and the Cleveland Browns were ranked last.

"Let's just put this out there: if all goes perfectly right for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, they could be Super Bowl champions," Dawg Pound Daily writes. "But, that is a lot which has to go right. First and foremost, the health of Lamar Jackson has to stay completely pristine. Jackson has to be out there, and healthy, for the entirety of the season."

Jackson's health is the million-dollar question for Baltimore. If he can stay healthy, the Ravens have a chance to be one of the best teams in a stacked AFC, but the former MVP's health has become a significant question mark after missing the end of the last two seasons with lower-body injuries.

Jackson missed five games in both 2021 and 2022 and isn't the only Ravens player with question marks surrounding their health. Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is coming off of a torn ACL and has been riddled with injuries throughout his career. If they can stay healthy and succeed in Todd Monken's offense, Dawg Pound Daily likes its potential.

"Those two things, alone, are huge question marks," Dawg Pound Daily writes. "But, if they happen to come to fruition, then this Ravens' offense could be the best we've seen in a few years."

With a healthy Jackson and OBJ, and if young players on Baltimore's defense can stay healthy, the Ravens may find themselves atop the AFC North at the end of the season. And if everything breaks right, they could be the final team standing.
