Ravens JK Dobbins OUT; Jonathan Taylor Trade Coming?

JK Dobbins' injury could make the Baltimore Ravens a candidate for a Jonathan Taylor trade with the Indianapolis Colts.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens running back room is hurt once again after JK Dobbins exited Sunday's game with a torn Achilles, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

With Dobbins injured, Justice Hill came into the game and scored two touchdowns of his own ... but could the Ravens go for an upgrade?

Indianapolis Colts star Jonathan Taylor is on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List, and he is seeking a trade after failing to reach a contract extension with the team. Perhaps the Ravens could be interested to fill a void in the backfield.

In August, the Colts were fielding offers for Taylor, but wanted a high price tag (first-round pick, high-profile player or both) for his services. Given the fact that Taylor is in a contract year, no team was willing to make such a deal.

However, no team needed a running back that badly at that point. With Dobbins injured, one could argue that the Ravens need a running back.

Baltimore could opt to stick with Hill, the two-touchdown backup, but he hasn't led the league in rushing like Taylor has before. It would be a significant upgrade.

For a Ravens team that is looking to reinvent the offense and contend for a Super Bowl, adding Taylor may not be all that worth it. His placement on the PUP List means he can't even play until Week 5, so the Ravens will need a more immediate replacement.

The Ravens visit Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals next week. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
