Baltimore Ravens John Harbaugh 'Excited' About Cleveland Browns 'Challenge'
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 37-3 win over the Seattle Seahawks in what was viewed as a good test of John Harbaugh's team's credentials.
Well, they passed with flying colors, and now another test awaits in the Cleveland Browns. Baltimore won the Week 4 outing in Cleveland 28-3, but with Deshaun Watson expected to be back, the Browns will be a different proposition this time around.
But Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is up for the challenge on Sunday.
“Very excited about the upcoming challenge," Harbaugh said. "Division rival, very good football team, we know what kind of games these are in our division and then we're excited to be at home. We've got a chance to play in front of our fans and in a real big game I know they're going to be really into it I know they're going to be loud."
The Ravens are 3-1 this season at home, but they will face Watson, who beat Baltimore 13-3 in Week 15 of last season as Tyler Huntley was starting in place of the injured Lamar Jackson.
With Watson expected to take his place in the line-up Sunday, the Browns' 14th-ranked offense (22.6 points per game), will get a nice confidence boost.
For Harbaugh, he knows the challenges of facing Watson.
“I mean Deshaun’s a playmaker," Harbaugh said. "You know that's the thing he's going to do it on time with the rhythm passing quick game, he can do the play action, the boots, and the play action stuff off of their zone run game. Then he can do it as far as extending the play both as far as running and then also I think he does a really good job on the run to find receivers when he's moving out of the pocket so playmaking quarterback.”
With the AFC North delicately poised as the Ravens (7-2) and the Browns (5-3) are first and third in the division, while Baltimore currently holds the tiebreaker due to its Week 4 win.
There is a lot on the line on Sunday and the Ravens have a chance to take a stranglehold of the division with a win.
Harbaugh says his team is up for the challenge of going against a tough, gritty Browns unit and will be hoping that it is his team that comes out victorious and extend their winning run to five games.
