Ravens Lamar Jackson 'We Still Haven't Hit Our Ceiling!' After Seattle Seahawks Thrashing

The Baltimore Ravens tore apart the Seattle Seahawks 37-3 with Lamar Jackson stating the team isn't firing on all cylinders yet.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens put the entire NFL on notice in their 37-3 blowout win over the Seattle Seahawks. In two "litmus test" games against the Detroit Lions and now the Seahawks, the Ravens have blown them both off the field.

Baltimore had 515 yards of total offense as the much-vaunted Ravens running game got rolling against the Seahawks with Keaton Mitchell (nine carries, 138 yards, one touchdown) as the Chief destroyer.

But despite the convincing win over another NFC challenger, quarterback Lamar Jackson says the team hasn't even hit its stride yet.

“If anything, we had two turnovers you know we trying to finish games without turnovers but having a performance that we did,” Jackson said. “Put points on the board as we did [vs Seahawks] but like you know it's still room for improvement and we still haven't hit our ceiling I don't believe.”

The Ravens now sit at a commanding 7-2 having beaten the Cincinnati Bengals, Lions, and Seahawks, all of whom are deemed to be serious challengers to their respective conferences.

Baltimore is now in full control of the AFC North on the back of a four-game winning streak, but what does Lamar credit for the Ravens' stellar form this season?

“We got guys who was hungry on our team," Jackson said. "Young guys, vets, guys just want to win and like I said early this season we got something we chasing and it takes us playing Raven football each and every week and we've been trying to do that.”

With some now calling Baltimore the best team in football, right now that is hard to argue, but the key as Jackson has said all along is consistency.

The offense under Todd Monken has woken up (averaging 26.6 points per game, ranks 6th) and the defense the best in the NFL (allowing 13.8 points per game), leads the NFL in sacks (35), and has the league's leading interceptor in Geno Stone (6).

If the Ravens have done all of that, have a record of 7-2, and STILL haven't hit their ceiling, then what will this team look like when it all comes together?

That my friends, is a scary thought.
