Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell made the 53-man roster after impressing during the preseason and training camp.

Mitchell signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent after not being selected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent three years at East Carolina University where he rushed for 3,027 yards and 25 touchdowns. He made first-team All-AAC in two straight seasons as a Pirate and led the FBS in runs of 10 or more yards in 2022 with 54.

He was competing with two other running backs during the preseason for the fourth and final running back spot on the roster. Running backs Owen Wright and Melvin  Gordon were also playing for a spot on the roster, but Mitchell outplayed them both.

He will be one of four running backs that Baltimore carries on its roster into the regular season. Along with Mitchell, the Ravens will be utilizing J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill in a rushing attack that is headlined by star quarterback Lamar Jackson

Baltimore's season will open on Sep. 10 at 1 p.m. on the road against the Houston Texans.
