Lamar Jackson Named AFC Player Of The Week After Baltimore Ravens' Win Over Detroit Lions
Lamar Jackson was named the AFC Player of the Week following his dominant performance in the Baltimore Ravens' dominant 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Jackson was nothing short of special against the Lions (5-2). He completed 21 of 27 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns and had a passer rating of 155.8. Jackson also ran for 36 yards and a touchdown.
This marks the first time Jackson has won the award this season and ninth time overall in his career. With the award, Jackson surpasses Ray Lewis, who won it eight times, for the second-most in Ravens (5-2) history. Jackson only trails Justin Tucker, who has been named the AFC Player of the Week 12 times in his career.

With Jackson's performance against the Lions, he became the fourth player in NFL history to throw for over 350 yards, three touchdowns and have a passer rating of over 150 in a single game. He also earned the 50th win of his career, making him the fifth-quickest quarterback to reach the milestone in the Super Bowl era.
Baltimore vs. Detroit was one of the most anticipated games of the week and it quickly became a one-sided beating at the hands of Jackson and a dominant defense. He had three of his four total touchdowns in the first half and Baltimore led 28-0 at halftime.
Through seven games, Jackson has thrown for 1,610 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions. He also ran for 363 yards and five scores.
Jackson and the Ravens will look to keep the momentum going this Sunday when they head to State Farm Stadium to face the Arizona Cardinals (1-6) at 4:25 p.m. ET.
