Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh talked about the success that his star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, has seen in previous Week 1 games.

"You want your quarterback to be on point and ready to go, Lamar is our quarterback and I expect him to be on point and ready to go," Harbaugh said. "He has been in the past to your point and I'm sure he expects that of himself. I think everybody's gotta go out there and put their best foot forward, play the best they can, not have a lot of anxiety, just put it out there and let it rip."

Since the Ravens drafted him with the last pick of the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft, some of Jackson's best games have come in the season opener. He is currently 4-1 in season openers with one of his most memorable performances ever coming in a Week 1 game.

During Week 1 of the 2019 season in Jackson's first opener as a starter, he dominated the Miami Dolphins in a signature performance that kicked off his unanimous MVP season. He completed 17-of-20 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns for a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating.

In total across five season openers, Jackson has accumulated 1,071 yards and 12 touchdowns on 74-of-109 passing. However, the first opener he played in, he only registered four passing attempts and one completion as a back-up to former Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco.

The Ravens and Jackson will open their season at home on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans
