Baltimore Ravens legendary linebacker Ray Lewis has all good things to say - "rock star'' things - about their current standout linebacker Roquan Smith

"There's a difference between a superstar and a rock star," Lewis said. "Superstars, they're amazing. Rock stars change people. Right? Like rockstars make everybody around them better. I'm telling you, Roquan has the ability to be a rock star. ...

"For me, to watch this play out this whole season, you'll know by the way everybody starts to communicate on that defense. Cause it's a special thing, when you see it, you see it."

Smith has had an excellent start to his Ravens career. In 14 games, he has recorded 54 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, seven passes defended and one interception.

He is currently leading the Baltimore defense to the top of the NFL as well. It's defense is tied for third in the league in points allowed per game at 15.0 points per game and is second in the NFL in yards given up per game at 266.4 yards per game.

The 26-year-old All Pro linebacker found his way onto the Ravens roster when they sent A.J. Klein, a 2023 second-round pick and a 2023 fifth-round pick to the Chicago Bears for Smith during the 2022 season.

The Bears originally drafted Smith with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia, but decided they didn't want to pay him what he believed he was worth and let Baltimore be the ones to pay him instead.

Smith and the Ravens are in London this week to take on the Tennessee Titans. The game will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. ... and London seems an ideal setting for a "rock star'' to take the stage.
