Could Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson win his second NFL MVP this year? He may be leading the race through seven weeks of the season.

In Week 7, Jackson put up his best performance of the season, going 21-of-27 for 357 yards and three touchdowns while adding 36 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He led the Ravens to an impressive 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions, one of the best teams in the NFC this year.

According to PFF, Jackson is the NFL's top quarterback heading into Week 8 with an offense grade of 90.8. For reference, when Jackson won his NFL MVP in 2019, his PFF offense grade was 90.1. Behind him this season is two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes with an offense grade of 90.2 and in third is Tua Tagovailoa with an offense grade of 89.3.

Jackson has been on fire this year, with a passing grade of 99.1 on throws 10 or more yards down the field, which ranks first in the NFL. His 15 runs of 10 or more yards is also tied for first in the league among all players, not just quarterbacks.

During his unanimous MVP season, Jackson put up 3,127 passing yards and 36 passing touchdowns with only six interceptions. What put him over the top was his spectacular season on the ground, rushing for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns.

This season, he has recorded 1,610 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns to three interceptions, while rushing for 363 yards and five touchdowns. At 5-2, Baltimore has looked like one of the best teams in the league under Jackson's leadership.

The Ravens will be on the road this week to face the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 29 at 4:25 p.m.
