The Baltimore Ravens won a hard-fought battle against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football, but both teams left the game worse for wear.

Most notably, Ravens tight end Mark Andrews suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter on the first drive of the game that has been deemed season-ending. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow also suffered an injury to his hand in the first half that forced him to miss the rest of the game.

His replacement, Jake Browning, played well in relief of Burrow, but not nearly well enough to come back against Baltimore, who won 34-20 at home.

Injury Bug At M&T Bank Stadium

Baltimore moved to 8-3 with a convincing win over Cincinnati, but it came at a price. Andrews, one of the best tight ends in the league, will miss the rest of the season due to his ankle injury. For a team that considered themselves to be one of the best in the league, his injury is a back-breaker.

Star quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury in the game as well and was able to play through it, but not without taking a visit to the medical tent. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. also left the game with a shoulder injury after taking a big hit from a Bengals defender, but the injury isn't thought to be serious.

Gus Bus Keeps Rolling

Gus Edwards' fantasy owners should consider playing the lottery after the stretch that he is on. Against Cincinnati, Edwards had 12 carries for 62 yards and two touchdowns, bringing his season total to 10.

In Edwards' last five games, he has rushed for 282 yards and nine touchdowns while also catching six passes for 106 yards. He has been on a tear during this stretch of the season as the Ravens' starting running back. With 10 rushing touchdowns, he sits at second in the NFL behind Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert.

Time For A Run

While Baltimore has dropped a couple of games that it probably shouldn't have, it still sits in second place in the AFC behind the 7-2 Kansas City Chiefs. If the Chiefs lose to the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles this week, the Ravens will be right back in a tie for first place.

However, their upcoming schedule is tough, with opponents like the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers and the Dolphins waiting ahead. If Baltimore wants to earn the No. 1 seed for the playoffs and a first-round bye, it will not be without a fight.
