Ravens WR Zay Flowers Believes He 'Can Do It All' Entering Rookie Year
When the Baltimore Ravens drafted Zay Flowers in the first-round of the NFL Draft, the vision to build a contender was clear as day.
With MVP-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson signing a long-term extension, surrounding him with the "best collection of wide receiver talent he has had," became the focal point of the offseason.
And as the Ravens rookie minicamp is underway, the team is allowing Flowers to play all over the field.
Despite only returning seven punts during four years at Boston College - with all seven coming in 2022 - head coach John Harbaugh said Baltimore will “absolutely” consider using him as a returner during his rookie campaign.
But as a lethal receiving threat is where Flowers excelled the most, especially after the catch, where he averaged 42.9 yards per game last season.
A 2022 third-team All American, Flowers is confident in his ability to to line up anywhere offensively.
“I feel like I’m a complete receiver. I can do it all,” Flowers said, via the team’s website. “You name it, I’ll be able to do it. I honestly don’t have a preference, because I feel like I can run every route on the outside, and I can run every route on the inside.”
With Baltimore adding veteran wideouts Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor through free agency, Flowers will have the opportunity to be mentored through his rookie season.
