Cowboys Ex Anthony Brown: Sign with Ravens?

Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Anthony Brown is on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, but could he sign with the Baltimore Ravens active roster?
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens have some question marks at the cornerback position with just one week to go until the regular season opener against the Houston Texans.

As Marlon Humphrey recovers from foot surgery, the Ravens cornerbacks aren't glowing in reviews. That's why Bleacher Report is suggesting that the team should sign former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Anthony Brown.

"The Ravens signed Rock Ya-Sin, whom the Las Vegas Raiders opted not to re-bring back this offseason. Jalyn Armour-Davis, Damarion Williams and Ronald Darby are the other top corners on the team, and Williams is currently on IR," Bleacher Report writes.

"That cornerback group is far from a dream team, and free-agent options are few and far between. Anthony Brown is the best candidate still on the market."

Brown, 29, is currently on the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, but the Ravens could sign him away if he was to join the team's 53-man roster.

As a sixth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Brown proved to outplay his draft position and play seven years with the Cowboys. His Dallas tenure ended abruptly last season after suffering a torn Achilles in Week 13, a big reason why the Cowboys didn't re-sign the 29-year-old.

While Brown didn't participate in training camp, he still has a ton of experience and could help the Ravens tremendously once he gets into football shape. It's understandable for the Ravens to want to play their guys who they've had in camp over Brown ... but if a few weeks pass during the season, and no improvement is seen, perhaps Baltimore will make a move.
