Lamar Jackson Demands Trade; Where to Now For The Ravens?

Lamar Jackson revealed he asked to be traded on March 2, with the news all but ending his time with the Ravens. But where does the franchise go from here?
In this story:

Lamar Jackson dropped a Twitter bomb. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback (for now) took to social media and detailed that he asked for a trade on March 2 after contract negotiations were going nowhere.

According to some, it was the hammer that needed to be dropped, and now it just about ends Jackson's tenure as a Raven. The bridge was already thought to be burned after the team couldn't agree on a deal with the former NFL MVP, and now with a trade request, the bridge isn't just burned, it's completely obliterated.

So where does the franchise go from here? The non-exclusive franchise tag is sitting there for Jackson to sign. But after a trade request, surely he has no intention of signing it.

If a team is to sign Jackson via trade, the Ravens will receive two first-round selections as compensation due to the non-exclusive tag. But is that enough to soothe the anger of Baltimore fans?

Unlikely.

Should Jackson move onto another team, that will leave Tyler Huntley as the starting quarterback. Entering the final year of his deal, Huntley will be playing for a new contract in Baltimore.

Stepping in for Lamar last year, Huntley showed he is a capable quarterback in the NFL, going 2-2 in four starts while throwing for 658 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Are the Ravens happy with letting Jackson walk out the door and have Huntley lead this team?

With their unwillingness to give Lamar what he wants, they don't have a choice. The Ravens made their bed, and now they have to sleep in it.
