Week 17: Saints Inactives List vs. Buccaneers

Kendre Miller and Isaiah Foskey miss another game for the Saints, while the rest of their inactives bring little surprise.
In this story:

The Saints previously ruled out two players ahead of their Week 17 NFC South matchup against the Buccaneers, but have since placed one of them (Ryan Ramczyk) on injured reserve. Here's a look at the inactives for New Orleans in a must-win game.

  • QB Jake Haener
  • DB Cameron Dantzler
  • RB Kendre Miller (ankle)
  • DB Lonnie Johnson (knee)
  • DE Isaiah Foskey (quadricep)
  • LB Monty Rice

Miller (ankle), Foskey (quadricep), Alvin Kamara (illness) and Lou Hedley (illness) were all questionable coming into this game, as was Payton Turner (toe). However, Turner was ruled out when the Saints announced their Saturday transactions. Cameron Erving was signed to the active roster in the corresponding move to Ramczyk going on IR, while Shemar Jean-Charles was elevated from the practice squad.

Miller misses another game for the Saints, as he hasn't been seen since he exited the game in Week 9 against the Bears. He was never placed on injured reserve, and at the beginning of December Dennis Allen said that he did not suffer a setback, but the progress he was making stalled. Between Foskey, Miller, and Nick Saldiveri, the top draft picks in Rounds 2-4 have appeared in just a combined 20 games for the Saints.
