Saints vs. Texans Pregame Report - Week 6
Week 6 sees the Saints (3-2) marching into Houston to take on the Texans (2-3) at NRG Stadium. It's just the sixth time that these two play in the regular season, with their most recent matchup being a thriller to help kickoff the 2019 season. Interestingly enough, the home team has won in all of these matchups, so it'd be a good time for Dennis Allen and company to fix that on Sunday. Here's our Pregame Report.

Saints Notes and Storylines for Week 6
MAKING STROUD'S DAY TOUGH
C.J. Stroud hasn't been playing like a rookie, and that's a compliment. The Saints defense is fully aware of how well he has been performing this season, drawing some comparisons to what Jordan Love was able to do against them in Green Bay. Stroud has yet to throw an interception this season, and New Orleans is hoping that changes today after being able to get several turnovers last week. Their defense is much further along in this early season than they were last year in that department.
Getting the pass rush going will be important, as always. However, the Saints can't let Stroud extend plays. The front seven will be big here in this game, and if they can rattle the cages early, then it could be a fruitful day on defense.
FEED KAMARA
Getting the ball to Alvin Kamara was a really good and successful strategy last week, and he should continue to be a big focal part of the offensive attack on Sunday. The Texans have had some trouble with runners, so using a good one-two punch of Kamara and Kendre Miller could go a long way. Also, using them in the passing game in space will prove to be fruitful. We could also see a bit more Taysom Hill. Something to keep an eye on is that fullback Adam Prentice went on injured reserve on Saturday, so Hill and J.P. Holtz could be utilized there.
FEED OFF THE CROWD
This seems a bit odd, but perhaps not when you think about it. The Astros are hosting the Rangers this evening, which is going to draw a good bit more eyes on it than this game. Houston is full of Louisiana transplants that were affected by hurricanes over the years, mainly Hurricane Katrina. This could be a very black and gold crowd out there on Sunday when kickoff hits, so the Saints need to make the most of it.
