Ravens CB Takes Shot at Steelers QB Kenny Pickett
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers and Ravens don't face each other until Week 5, but the trash has already started on Baltimore's side.
Right now, there are questions about whether or not Marlon Humphrey will play against the Steelers the first time the AFC North rivals meet. The Baltimore cornerback is dealing with a foot injury that could keep him sidelined for the beginning of the season, but if he is on the field in Week 5, he'll have some words to back up.
During a recent episode of Humphrey's podcast 'Punch Line Podcast With Marlon Humphrey,' the Ravens cornerback was challenged to name every quarterback in the NFL just by looking at their picture. When they got to Pickett, he didn't just say his name, but added a little something extra in his answer.
"Twoooo hands, two hands, Kenny Pickett, tiny hands," Humphrey said.
The All-Pro corner could have been making fun of Pickett wearing two gloves or simply adding to the tiny hands comment at the end. Either way, the jab was loud.
Pickett has only played a full game against the Ravens once so far, but it ended in a Steelers comeback victory at M&T Bank Stadium. The then-rookie quarterback completed 15 of 27 passes for 168 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
This summer, Pickett appears much more comfortable and confident in the backfield, and the expectations of the Steelers are high. Week 5 and Week 18 against the Ravens could determine the Steelers' spot - or lack their of - in the postseason, and it's certain the second-year quarterback is going to give as much as he can in those matchups.
