Ravens Sign Lamar Jackson to Long-Term Deal
PITTSBURGH -- The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson have finally agreed on terms to a long-term deal. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the new contract is in place after months of negotiating.
Jackson and the Ravens didn't have the easiest road to a long-term agreement. Jackson publically asked for a trade, was placed on a non-exclusive franchise tag and was the center of NFL headlines during the entire offseason as the two sides battled.
Now, a deal is in place, and the belief is it will be somewhere near the deal Jalen Hurts signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Ravens confirmed the deal, saying it's a five-year contract. The financials have not yet been released.
According to Pacman Jones on the Pat McAfee Show, there's still a "strong" possibility the Ravens acquire DeAndre Hopkins during the NFL Draft. Baltimore currently holds the 22nd pick, which could be the compensation for the All-Pro wideout.
