Dan Moore Jr. Remains Steelers Starting LT Over Broderick Jones

The Pittsburgh Steelers have changed their offensive line just yet.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't making a significant change just yet. As they begin Organized Team Activities, they're giving away their early plans on starting lineups, player roles and promotions/demotions of certain guys.

One of the most significant non-changes for the Steelers is their left tackle position, which still holds Dan Moore Jr. as the starter over first-round pick Broderick Jones.

Moore acknowledged after practice that he remains working with the ones in the first portion of summer workouts. You can also see the offensive line working during individual drills in the highlight video below.

The competition between the two likely won't heat up until training camp when the pads come on and coaches are able to evaluate offensive linemen better. Chances are Moore remains in the starting spot until then, with Jones having to earn his place as the starter prior to Week 1.

"It’s early to tell if that (first-team reps) means anything," Moore said. "Listen, I just do what they tell me. It’s too early in the process for anything else."

As for the rest of the rookies, Joey Porter Jr. was also working behind the starters, filling in for Patrick Peterson and Levi Wallace on the outside. Cory Trice Jr. worked with the backups as well.
