Steelers Release RB Master Teague

The Pittsburgh Steelers have moved on from the fan favorite running back.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have released three players prior to their 2023 OTAs and minicamp, cutting ties with linebackers Tae Crowder and Emeke Egbule, and running back Master Teague.

Crowder and Egbule were both looked at as potential depth pieces for the Steelers, but more than like just practice squad players after the 53-man roster was finalized. As for Teague, fans were excited to see if the training camp star from last year could find a spot on the roster this season.

Teague suffered a foot injury and missed last season because of it. He returned to the roster for another spring and participated in rookie minicamp before being released.

Instead, the Steelers will move forward with Anthony McFarland and undrafted rookie Alfonzo Graham competing for the third and final spot in th backfield this summer.

Pittsburgh also announced the signing of linebacker Toby Ndukwe, an undrafted rookie from SMU. He'll compete with Tanner Muse and Mark Robinson for an active roster spot this summer.
