Former Steelers' Antonio Brown Criticizes Kenny Pickett

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout spoke about the team's starting quarterback.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- As of now, the assumption is that the Pittsburgh Steelers will have either Kenny Pickett or Mason Rudolph as their starting quarterback in 2024. But that has left some concern for those who watch and cheer for the team.

One of those members of the fanbase, and a former player of the Steelers, isn't thrilled about the possibility of Pickett being the starter for a third season. Former wideout Antonio Brown voiced his opinion on X (formerly known as Twitter), calling Pickett as the starter a "legitimate concern."

Brown hasn't played in the league since 2021 when he left mid-game while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then, he's pursued a career in music, but has continued to make headlines for controversial takes on social media, and for finding himself in legal troubles.

The Steelers have expressed their belief in Pickett all offseason, and are hoping he and Rudolph compete for the starting job in training camp. That being said, they are still in contention for names like Justin Fields, and were recently named a fit for rookie J.J. McCarthy.

Pickett is 14-10 as the starter and has met with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith which is believed to have been a "great" interaction.
