George Pickens Makes Unbelievable Catch at Steelers Training Camp

The Pittsburgh Steelers receiver is always making highlight reel plays.

LATROBE — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens has no shortage of highlight reel catches, and he added another during training camp.

During the team’s first padded practice, the Steelers broke out one-on-one receiving drills along the sideline, and like many before this, Pickens stole the show with a one-handed grab against rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

Pickens appears ready for a breakout season after a strong rookie campaign, recording 52 catches for 801 yards and four touchdowns. This year, he's made it known that his goals are much higher, including a Pro Bowl selection, 1,000 yards, and for the Steelers to win a Super Bowl.

This isn’t the first time Pickens made an unbelievable catch during practice, as highlights from a play at Georgia surface every time he’s talked about. Quarterback Kenny Pickett has always alluded to Pickens making better catches in practice than he does in games.

"You feel comfortable putting the ball up for him and have him make plays," Pickett said last season. "He casually made the best catch I've ever seen on Wednesday's practice. Unbelievable catch. I've never seen a catch like that in my life."

If this is the start of Pickens' year, it appears he's in for a big season with plenty of Sportscenter top-10 moments.
