PITTSBURGH -- The Houston Texans are adding a dynamic wideout/special teamer in the midst of their playoff run. As they prepare for their Divisional round matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, they're signing former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Steven Sims to their active roster.

Sims spent two years with the Steelers, working primarily as their kick/punt returner in 2021 and 2022. In 13 games, he returned 19 punts for 105 yards and 17 kicks for 434 yards.

This season, he's played three games for the Texans, recording three receptions for 25 yards, handling four punts for 49 yards and three kick returns for 71 yards.

The Texans are set to take on the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional round of the playoffs. During their win over the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card round, Houston lost wide receiver Noah Brown. They'll look to replace him with multiple wideouts as they move forward, including Sims.
