J.J. Watt Jokes About Joining Steelers
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without outside linebacker T.J. Watt in the Wild Card round against the Buffalo Bills, and while the team is preparing for Markus Golden and Nick Herbig to replace him, his brother is making jokes about a different plan.
After head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Watt would miss the game in Buffalo, J.J. teased the question that maybe he could suit up in the No. 90 jersey for the Steelers this weekend.
J.J. has been a name surrounding the Steelers since the day he retired. Seemingly, every time he mentions returning to football or the thought of possibly wanting to play, Pittsburgh is the team everyone brings up as his landing spot.
Realistically, there won't be any Watt brothers on the field for the Steelers this weekend. But until T.J. retires, it feels like the door will remain open for J.J. to come to Pittsburgh as more than a fan — just maybe not this week.
