Rams Make Big Call Ahead of Steelers Game
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers now known who they should expect at running back when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7. Despite keeping it under wraps throughout the week, LA is now expected to roll with two veterans in the backfield, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter reports that the Rams are going to lead with Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman as their top runners against the Steelers. Rookie Zach Evans will come off the bench, while Myles Gaskin will be inactive.
Henderson was signed to the team's practice squad this week after injuries to Ronnie Rivers and Kyren Williams, who were both placed on Injured Reserve. Henderson rejoins the team after not being re-signed in the offseason. The former third-round pick in 2019 has rushed for 1,732 yards and 13 touchdowns as a Ram.
Freeman has been on the roster all season but has yet to receive a carry. According to Schefter, he will be the starter with Henderson coming off the bench as support, but both will receive the bulk of the carries.
