Steelers Add Alex Highsmith to Injury Report

The Pittsburgh Steelers added a significant name to their injury report.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers were missing five players during their second practice of Ravens week, including outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, who suffered a groin injury that kept him sidelined.

Highsmith has not been on the team's injury report, but missed day two of practice because of the injury. It's unknown if he suffered it the day prior, the day of, or had something come up from the past. It's also unknown if it's going to impact his game status, making it another injury to monitor.

The Steelers did get good news on the injury front with Kenny Pickett becoming a full participant in their second practice. He said earlier in the week that he plans to play in Week 5 despite dealing with the knee injury.

Inside linebacker Cole Holcomb (back) and offensive tackle Chuks Okorafor (elbow) also joined him as full participants on day two. Holcomb was limited to start the week and Okorafor did not practice the day prior.

Defensive end DeMarvin Leal (concussion) was limited after missing yesterday.

As for those who did miss, offensive linemen Dan Moore (knee) and James Daniels (groin), punter Pressley Harvin (hamstring) and tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) were all absent from the field.

Moore and Daniels continue to miss time due to injuries. Moore has already been ruled out, marking first-round rookie Broderick Jones' first start with the Steelers. If Daniels misses a second game, Nate Herbig will start again at right guard.

Harvin continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 3. Practice squad punter Brad Wing would be elevated for a second game if Harvin is ruled out against Baltimore.

Freiermuth is also a player the Steelers expect to miss this week, meaning Darnell Washington, Connor Heyward and Rodney Williams, who was recently signed off the practice squad.
