Steelers Among Favorites to Land Justin Fields

The Pittsburgh Steelers are believed to be in the running for the Bears quarterback.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the betting favorites to land Justin Fields if the current Chicago Bears quarterback is on the trade block this offseason.

With the Bears holding the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, many believe they'll target USC quarterback Caleb Williams. Despite a strong finish from Fields and the team as a whole, it appears the two sides may be splitting this offseason.

On the list of candidates to land the former first-round pick are the Steelers. At IllinoisBets.com, the Steelers are tied with the fourth-best odds to acquire Fields before the NFL Draft, with +1200 odds.

They trail the Atlanta Falcons (+475), New England Patriots (+900), and Las Vegas Raiders (+900), and are tied with the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings.

The Steelers haven't indicated which direction they'll lean at quarterback this offseason. After keeping Mason Rudolph as their starter despite Kenny Pickett's return from ankle surgery, there are certainly question marks regarding the team's plans moving forward.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, those around the league believe the Bears will be asking for a second or third-round pick in exchange for Fields. If the Steelers believe that price is good enough, they could make the call to try and land the Bears quarterback.

This season, Fields finished with 2,562 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions while also rushing for 657 yards and four touchdowns. In three seasons, he has 2,220 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
