PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their leading receiver in Week 1, suffering their third injury against the San Francisco 49ers as wide receiver Diontae Johnson left early in the third quarter with an apparent leg injury.

Johnson caught a pass on the right side of the field and took is 26 yards down the sideline. After being tackled, he stayed down on the field, grabbing his right leg in pain. He was helped up by trainers and escorted to the blue medical tent where he was further evaluated. He was then led into the tunnel.

The team later announced Johnson suffered a hamstring injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Before his injury, Johnson led the Steelers in receiving with 48 yards.

With their top wideout sidelined, Pittsburgh will turn to George Pickens, Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin. Myles Boykin is also available off the bench.

All Steelers will continue to provide updates on Johnson's injury as more information becomes available.
