Steelers WR George Pickens Denies Kenny Pickett Drama

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens denied taking a shot at Kenny Pickett on social media.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- Following the Pittsburgh Steelers' 30-7 beatdown at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, George Pickens caught some heat for what looked like a shot at quarterback Kenny Pickett, offensive coordinator Matt Canada or both.

Andrew Filliponi from 93.7 The Fan posted a screenshot of a comment on a video that Pickens had posted on Instagram that said the Steelers had "No one to get that man the ball tho," and it said that Pickens had liked the comment.

Pickens denied that he liked the comment and said he had even turned the comments off on his account.

"Yeah, I saw that," he said. "My comments aren't even on my Instagram so I don't even know how that - someone must have screenshotted or at-ed themselves because you can't even tag me. ... I don't have no comments on my Instagram. You can't mention me or tag me."

After a stellar preseason during which he looked like a bonafide No. 1 option for Pickett, Pickens caught five of his seven targets for just 36 yards against the 49ers. Television cameras zoomed in on him late the second half, when the game was out of hand, and he appeared to have a frustrated look on his face.

But Pickens added that he wasn't frustrated with and was committed to working this week and beyond to get the offense moving in the right direction.

"We're just going to keep working," Pickens said. "That's probably the best thing you can do. I mean, it's just one game so keep working is probably the only answer."
