Steelers Lose TE Pat Freiermuth to Setback

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly going to be without Pat Freiermuth for extended time.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without tight end Pat Freiermuth for Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams, and could lose him for multiple weeks, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Freiermuth was set to return to action this week but suffered a setback when he aggravated his hamstring injury in practice. Now, according to Pelissero, he’s undergoing another MRI and is expected to miss extended time.

Freiermuth initially went down in Week 4 and missed Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens. He told media earlier in the week that he would have been able to play if the team didn’t have a bye in Week 6.

Without Freiermuth, the Steelers will continue to rely on rookie Darnell Washington and second-year tight end Connor Heyward. Rodney Williams will remain the roster as well after being signed off of the practice squad.

All Steelers will continue to provide more information on the injury as a timeline become available.
