Steelers Star DB Suffers Leg Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their superstar safety in Week 8.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a big injury on defense as superstar Minkah Fitzpatrick went down during the first quarter of their Week 8 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fitzpatrick stayed down on the field following a pass play by the Jaguars on their second drive of the game. Trainers immediately ran out to evaluate him. They then helped him up and escorted him to the sideline as he walked with a heavy limp.

He was quickly evaluated in the medical tent before being taken to the locker room.

It's unknown exactly how the injury occurred as all eyes were on the quarterback, who was being sacked by Elandon Roberts.

Without Fitzpatrick, the Steelers will turn to Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal at safety, with Elijah Riley and Miles Killebrew as options off the bench.

All Steelers will continue to provide updates on Fitzpatrick's injury as more information is released.

UPDATE: The Steelers have announced Fitzpatrick has a hamstring injury and has been ruled out against the Jaguars.
