Steelers Playoff Hopes High After Win
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting pretty in the AFC playoff race after their Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. After a significant dip following their loss to the Browns the week prior, Pittsburgh's odds have skyrocketed across the board.
The Upshot, part of the New York Times, has the Steelers holding a 78% chance to make the postseason. That's up 8% since last week.
ESPN's FPI currently has them with a 73% chance, up 20% since their loss to Cleveland. If the playoffs started today, the Steelers would be the fifth seed, taking on the Miami Dolphins.
Pittsburgh currently sits in second place in the AFC North, climbing over the Browns after Cleveland fell to the Denver Broncos in Week 12. The Steelers are 3-1 in the division, with their only loss coming to the Browns.
The Steelers are still a full game behind the Ravens for the AFC North title but will play them again in Week 18. Pittsburgh currently holds a 1-0 series lead.
According to ESPN's FPI, the Steelers currently have a 14% chance to win the division. The NYT gives them an 18% chance to win the North.
