Steelers Set Horrifying Record After Loss
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers put themselves in the record books for the absolute worst reason following their Week 14 loss to the New England Patriots.
With back-to-back losses to 2-10 teams, the Steelers are now the first team in NFL history above .500 to drop consecutive games, both to teams at least eight games under .500, according to the Amazon Prime broadcast.
Pittsburgh fell 24-10 to the Arizona Cardinals and then 21-18 to the Patriots.
With losses to Arizona and New England, the Steelers are now 7-6 and barely clinging onto their once-promising playoff hopes. Heading into Week 14, they were the fifth seed in the AFC. Leaving, they could fall out of the wildcard spots, depending on how the rest of the weekend plays out.
The Steelers will look to bounce back against the Indianapolis Colts. From here, they have a tough schedule ahead, facing Indy, the Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks and then finishing their year on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.
