WATCH: Controversial No-Call Leads to C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans Score to Claim Brief Lead
The Houston Texans briefly had the lead at NRG Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but should it have happened?
Derek Stingley intercepted a Trevor Lawrence pass early in the third quarter, but on replay, it appeared that Lawrence's intended receiver in Evan Engram was interfered with on his route, a call that the officials missed in real time.
This turnover led to a Texans scoring drive, one that was extended on a third down pass from C.J. Stroud to Nico Collins for 22 yards. Houston then called a pass on third and goal later in the drive, but Stroud was able to keep it himself around the right side for a touchdown that gave the Texans a 14-13 lead with just over eight minutes to go in the third frame.

The score marked Stroud's second total of the day and his first that came on the ground. He also connected with rookie wideout Tank Dell in the first half for a passing score.
The Texans' lead after this sequence was short-lived, however, as the Jaguars were able to march down the field and find the end zone, ironically assisted by two Texans fouls in the secondary that extended the possession, both committed by Tavierre Thomas.
The scoring pass for Jacksonville went from Lawrence to Calvin Ridley, and the Jags went for two following the touchdown, also a connection between this duo to give them a 21-14 lead.
