New York Giants Hire Former Titans Offensive Coordinator Tim Kelly To Coach Tight Ends
NASHVILLE — Former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Tim Kelly is taking a job as the tight ends coach for the New York Giants, the Titans confirmed Tuesday.
Kelly has coached in the NFL for 10 seasons, the past two with the Titans. Before Tennessee, he spent eight years with the Houston Texans, serving as their offensive coordinator for three seasons.
Kelly had various responsibilities with the Titans: managing the tight ends, devising the first- and second-down passing game, and aiding in the offensive strategy for the red zone.
The team's tight ends collectively ranked seventh in the NFL for their position, with 952 receiving yards. Notably, fourth-round draft pick Chig Okonkwo contributed 450 yards, a franchise record for rookie tight ends and leading all NFL rookie tight ends in 2022.
Kelly is reunited with former Titans defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who is taking the same position with the Giants.
