Titans Complete Coaching Interview with Dallas Cowboys' Dan Quinn

Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, one of 10 NFL assistants scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans about their coaching vacancy, had a virtual interview Wednesday with Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Ran Carthon.

NASHVILLE — Dan Quinn, at this time the only candidate for the Tennessee Titans job who has NFL head coaching experience, interviewed virtually with the team on Wednesday.

Quinn, 53, had the interview on Wednesday for the job opening created when Adams Strunk fired Mike Vrabel.

Quinn began his NFL journey in 2001 as a defensive quality control coach for the 49ers. He oversaw defensive lines with the 49ers, Dolphins, and Jets, then became assistant head coach with the Seahawks on Pete Carroll's staff in 2009.

After defensive coordinator positions with the University of Florida and again with Seattle, Quinn was head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020. His Falcons reached the Super Bowl in 2016 but famously lost a 28-3 lead  and eventually lost to the New England Patriots in overtime.

Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Las Vegas Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce, and Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald also have interviewed virtually for the Titans' coaching position. On Wednesday, reports surfaced that Callahan will get an in-person follow-up interview.

The Titans have remaining requested interviews with Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson from the Detroit Lions, Bobby Slowik from the Houston Texans, Brian Johnson from the Philadelphia Eagles, and Thomas Brown of the Carolina Panthers.
