The awards are starting to roll in for freshman star Brandon Miller as he was named SEC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year by the Associated Press. 

This was the second SEC Player of the Year award Miller has received, the first being the honor voted on by the coaches. Miller was also the only freshman to receive any honors from the AP.

Miller, who was already named a first-team All-American by the Sporting News, leads the SEC in scoring with 19.6 points per game while adding eight rebounds a game.
