Auburn's 2025 quarterback target transfers back to George County from Lipscomb Academy
Deuce Knight has transferred back to his former school, George County, from Lipscomb Academy after three games this season. Knight threw for 627 passing yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions through the three games. He also added 154 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
He announced on July 30th that he was transferring from George County to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Now, thirty-seven days later and three games in, he has decided to go back to go back to George County. His coach, Kevin Mawae, at Lipscomb Academy informed The Tennessean of the reason having nothing to do with football, but everything to do with Knight missing his family back in Mississippi.
Knight ranks as the third quarterback of the 2025 class and is being recruited by Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Notre Dame, and Ole Miss. He is one of Auburn’s top targets for their 2025 class.
