Report: Bearcats To Host Merrimack At Fifth Third Arena During 2023-24 Season

Cincinnati has never played the school.

CINCINNATI — UC basketball has one of its non-conference games set for next season as the program welcomes Merrimack to Fifth Third Arena on Dec. 19.

Jon Rothstein reported the news as Cincinnati prepares to face the Warriors.

Merrimack went 18-16 this past season and finished first in the NEC with a 12-4 record. 

They would have made the NCAA Tournament over Fairleigh Dickinson after beating the Knights in the NEC Tournament Final, but they are a newer Division I team and were ineligible for the NCAA Tournament.

The two schools have never faced each other, as UC will be just the 38th Division 1 team Merrimack's faced since entering the sport in 2019.
