CINCINNATI — Kansas City Chiefs rookie safety Bryan Cook had his best showing of the preseason Thursday night in a 17-10 win over the Green Bay Packers.

The UC product finished with four tackles and his first interception in an NFL uniform, which he returned for 12 yards. Cook is a lock to make the Chiefs roster and should be in the mix for starting-level snaps as part of KC's safety rotation.

“Seeing how the routes developed and knowing who (in the secondary) had what in coverage, I was able to jump it and get over there in time,” Cook said to the media postgame. “It was nothing too extravagant. I made it in practice, too, so it’s ironic. It definitely felt good to have the ball in my hands, especially because I used to play receiver in high school.”
