UC Drops in Both Major Polls Following UCF Loss
CINCINNATI — Following a 25-21 loss to UCF, the Cincinnati Bearcats are out of the top 25 in both major polls. UC is essentially sitting at 29th in the AP Poll and 30th in the Coaches Poll.
The Bearcats allowed 258 yards rushing against UCF and never had an answer for the consistent Golden Knights' ground game. It's a credit to Gus Malzahn and the rest of UCF's staff that they didn't crumble after losing their offensive engine in John Rhys Plumlee.
UCF is now ranked 25th in both polls, while Tulane sits at No. 19 (AP) and No. 21 (Coaches)—they are the only ranked AAC teams.
Cincinnati faces the Green Wave at home on Nov. 25. If the Bearcats win out, they will play in the AAC Championship game on the first weekend of December.
